Privacy Policy

1. Overview

VKNetix is an Android application designed for IT technicians. It provides network diagnostic tools, client and job management features, remote-access shortcuts and backup/restore functions.

2. Local app data

Information entered into VKNetix, such as client records, job details, technical notes, costs and materials/equipment information, is intended to be stored locally on the user’s device unless the user explicitly exports, shares, prints or backs up that information.

3. Network-related operations

Some VKNetix tools require network or internet access in order to perform the action requested by the user. These can include network status checks, DNS operations, ping tests, LAN scans, port scans, public network information, internet speed testing, VPN functionality and remote-access workflows.

4. Permissions

VKNetix may request Android permissions such as internet access, network state, Wi-Fi state and location-related permissions where required by Android for Wi-Fi or network discovery functionality. Permissions are used only to provide app features that depend on them.

5. VPN functionality

VKNetix includes VPN-related functionality using Android VPN capabilities. VPN functionality is initiated by the user for network connectivity purposes. VKNetix does not use VPN functionality for advertising, traffic monetization or unrelated background data collection.

6. Sharing and exports

When the user chooses to print, save as PDF, export, share or create a backup, VKNetix may create files containing information selected by the user. The user controls where those files are stored or shared.

7. Third-party components and services

VKNetix may rely on Android libraries and third-party components required to provide specific functionality, such as VPN, scanning or platform services. Network requests made by these components may transmit technical information necessary to complete the requested function.

8. Advertising and analytics

VKNetix does not currently include advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs for behavioral tracking.

9. Data retention and deletion

Locally stored app data remains on the device until it is deleted by the user, removed through app functionality, cleared through Android settings, or removed when the app is uninstalled, subject to Android backup behavior.

10. Children

VKNetix is a professional utility intended for IT technicians and is not designed for children.

11. Security

Reasonable measures are taken to limit access to app data to the user’s device and to the functions intentionally used by the user. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when VKNetix features, dependencies or data practices change. The current version will be published on this page.
